8 Sense Meditation is for anyone and everyone.

What

Think of 8 Sense Mediation as an operating system, or perhaps an operating framework. It has the inner structure to apply an outer skin that customizes to the user. It is adaptable to your input, inspiration, and needs.

Rather than hard rules, 8 Sense holds guidance and suggestions that provide an activation vehicle for an easy, doable method that prompts consistent mediation on a daily basis. Tremendously satisfying and borderline addictive, the payoff from 8 Sense Meditation is also positive and rewarding! It is my hope that you experience this in your journey as deeply as I have in mind that it does this for you and your journey as much as it has done for my own. This is why I share it now. Sense offers the benefits of peace, answers, happiness, and joy. Not just the fleeting emotions of these elements, but permanent states by which nothing from the external upsets. This is its simple promise and purpose. If these are desirable, which is assumed since you’ve gotten this far into the material, then I encourage you to stick with it until you reap what you plant and enjoy the fruit of your labor.

When

8 Sense Meditation is extremely easy. It is a path and process of exploring a path that begins with the tangible and physical aspects we are most familiar with and moves to the spiritual and divine aspects of ourselves. It is the functional use of focusing intently on one of eight senses for 2.5 minutes before moving onto a progressive next segment. It is recommended as a daily 20-minute practice.

Where

It is given for the modern-day lifestyle that might not provide a placid, quiet environment at any given time. One could feasibly do this practice in one way or another in nearly any situation. The benefits are worth the effort, even if surroundings are less than ideal.

Our minds are created to constantly think. In some forms of meditation, the effort is made to get to a “no-mind” or empty-state of thinking. This method is difficult to achieve outside a stringent or monastic environment. Since this is usually unrealistic in our modern-day, 8 Sense Meditation provides an efficient and powerful alternative.

Why

The benefit and reward from 8 Sense is simple: peace, power, contentment, happiness, satisfaction, joy, quiescence, even bliss, and more. Answers long-desired come as we turn toward inner exploration.

How

Each explored sense is layered on another. The senses s can be self-defined as your inspiration and intuition direct. We start by recommending those indicated in the diagram, the first six being somewhat flexible, but perhaps the last two being more set. The basis of 8 Sense is to move us from communication with the tangibles to communion with the divine, both in outreach and reception.

The concept is simple, yet powerful. Guide your thoughts and focus into each sense for 2.5 minutes. (Use of the 8 Sense app is recommended, though just a timer on your smartphone works as well). With earnest intent and applying the PICM(3) methodology, you will quickly experience the rewards of this style of meditation. Keep in mind that 8 Sense doesn’t necessarily replace other practices or modalities you might enjoy. Its purpose is to augment and add to your inner work.
